Spokane Falls Community College offers a two-year A.A.S. degree and a one-year certificate program to prepare hearing instrument specialists for immediate employment in hearing health care establishments.

Admission Requirements

• A one-day visit to a Hearing Instrument Specialist’s office to experience a typical workday (can be arranged with the program’s instructor or an advisory board member).
• A 30-minute interview with the instructor or a program adviser. Immediately prior to this interview, you will be asked to write a short essay addressing a subject of the interviewer’s choice.
• The interview will include reviewing prospective student’s general information, requirements and the student’s expectations regarding education, career and employment.
