Remember when you were new to studying a subject required for your program or degree? Now that you’ve
mastered this challenging material and have learned successful study strategies, consider “taking the class”
again for pay and becoming an SI Leader.
Who are SI Leaders?
Supplemental Instruction Study Group Leaders are SFCC students who have been recommended by instructors. SI Leaders are
selected for their passion for the subject, their skill at developing successful study strategies for
complex college-level material, and their enthusiasm for sharing these skills with fellow students.
Interested in becoming an SI Leader?
If you can meet the conditions below, contact the Supplemental Instruction Coordinator!
- A 3.5 GPA or higher in your subject choice
- Recommendation of the instructor of the subject
- Nine to ten hours per week including five hours spent in the SI class

Applications are accepted throughout each quarter. SI Leader is a paid position of ten
