STEP 1: Register and Apply Online
Follow the onscreen instructions to complete
the application form, making sure to complete the registration section on the form.
In just one or two business days you will receive notification
by email of the Student Identification Number (SID) assigned to you. Be sure to make a note of your
SID!

STEP 2: Placement Tests
SFCC does not require SAT or ACT scores.
Placement test scores from ASSET or COMPASS are required for English 101 and Math 107. If you have placement scores, please mail, email, or fax a copy of your test
results to:

If placement test results are not available, you may need to take an online writing assessment prior to
enrolling in ENGL& 101. Please contact the GEM support team for information about this option.
Step 3: Tuition and Fees
How much do GEM classes cost?
Tuition and Fees are low at Spokane Falls Community College!
Course fee = $129 per credit
Cost per 5 credit classes = $645
Tuition is due before classes begin each quarter. The
Important Dates calendar includes information about payment
deadlines.
Tuition and fees may be paid by Tuition Assistance. SFCC also accepts cash, personal check, cashier's
check, money order, MasterCard or VISA for students paying in full.
Tuition Assistance
Tuition Assistance documents must be recieved by the payment deadlines. Students registering after the
deadline must submit their Tuition Assistance with their application registration form.
Step 4: Buy Books
After you have registered, go to the
online SFCC Bookstore
for information about any required textbooks. Be sure to order early so you have your books when classes start.
Step 5: Final Grades and Transcripts
Grades are posted online at the end of each quarter.
An unofficial copy of your grades can be found here.
The GEM Support Team will also post grades in the aiportal at the end of each quarter.
