Direct Transfer Agreements

Direct Transfer Agreements

Direct transfer agreements are statewide articulated transfer degree agreements between the community colleges and public baccalaureate universities. Students will enter the university at junior standing. Admission to Washington Public Baccalaureate Schools of Business or Elementary Education are NOT guaranteed to students holding an D.T.A. degree. It is highly recommended that students meet with an academic adviser on a regular basis to be sure that requirements specified in these degrees are met. Students should also seek academic consulting at the university to which they plan to transfer early in their educational planning to learn about additional requirements and procedures for admission.

Major Related Programs

To help transfer students better prepare for the junior year, two-year and four-year institutions are working together to create transfer associate degrees outlining the appropriate courses in order for students to be well prepared to enter the major upon transfer – MRP degrees. MRP degrees follow either the DTA/Associate of Arts format or the Associate in Science-Transfer format.
