The Institutional Teaching And Learning Improvement Coordinating (ITALIC) Committee supports and promotes
assessment from the classroom to the program level. For over two decades, the committee has been actively
involved in assessing student learning to improve instruction and institutional effectiveness.
The mission of the SFCC ITALIC Committee is to promote effective teaching and to facilitate student
learning by supporting educational assessment at the course level and coordinating the assessment of
degrees, programs, and instructional delivery systems.
