Your VA application may take 6 to 8 weeks to process. Allow yourself plenty of time to complete these steps to getting started at SFCC:
  1. Decide on a specific degree or program of study.
    The VA will only pay benefits for classes required for graduation. Consult an academic counselor with questions regarding program content and availability.
  2. Follow the steps for admission to SFCC.
  3. Start your application for GI Bill benefits online at:http://vabenefits.vba.va.gov/vonapp/main.asp. Click on Start VONAPP. Bring your DD214 Member 4 copy and the Certificate of Eligibility from the VA with you. Your VA application may take 6 to 8 weeks to process.
  4. Complete the SFCC VA Benefits Application process.
