Tuition Payment

• Financial aid funds automatically apply to your tuition when you register for classes each quarter. Financial aid funds credit to tuition charges two weeks before the payment due date.
• You are responsible for paying the balance owing to the Cashier’s Office by the payment due date each quarter if funds are not sufficient to pay your full tuition, fees and other charges.
• Funds from a Work Study award cannot be used to pay tuition or fee charges.
• The following funding sources may be applied to the total tuition and fees bill:
  • Federal Ford Direct Loans
  • Federal Pell Grant
  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
  • Academic Competitiveness Grant
  • Tuition Grant
  • Tuition Waiver
  • Student Activities Grant
  • Washington State Need Grant
  • Opportunity Grant

Check Disbursment

You will receive a check for any financial aid funds that exceed your tuition, fees and other charges.

How do I get my financial aid check?

• You will need a picture ID card when picking up any check.
• Checks that are mailed go to your address on record. Be sure to update your mailing address to keep it current.

How does adding or dropping classes affect my financial aid check?

Checks are generated before the start of each quarter based on your enrollment status. Check amounts may be incorrect if you later add or drop classes.

• If you add classes before Census Day and change your enrollment status you may receive additional grant funds.
• If you drop classes before Census Day and change your Financial Aid Status, you may be required to repay the funds you received for which you were not entitled.

My financial aid check may be incorrect. What should I do?

Contact the Financial Aid Office if you think the amount of your check is incorrect. Checks cannot be adjusted after the census day each quarter.
