The SFCC Music Department demonstrates a commitment to students seeking careers
in music by offering a quality musical experience through classroom and private
instruction and performance opportunities. The
Associate of Arts
transfer degree serves as the core of the curriculum. Beginning Fall 2006, the new
Audio Technology AAS degree program
prepares students in the areas of digital/audio production, recording/live sound
engineering, as broadcast and audio equipment technicians.
The SFCC music program’s involvement in the community underscores a strong commitment
to perpetuating the highest standards in musical enjoyment and performance and an
awareness of the diversity of musical needs in our area. The Community Band and
Community Orchestra offer a wide array of cultural enrichment and performance opportunities
for students, amateur and professional musicians.
The Music Department at Spokane Falls Community College strives to reflect the mission
of the Community Colleges of Spokane: educational opportunities for all people.
