Music at SFCC
The SFCC music program offers many options. Performance opportunities include symphony
orchestra, concert band, chamber singers, stage band, master chorale, vocal jazz,
jazz combos and more. Courses offer a strong musical core to build on, and program
options allow you to do everything from improving your performance skills to completing
the first two years of a four-year degree. Students come to SFCC for high quality
programs at an affordable price. They rub shoulders with other musicians, perform
for the public, and enjoy the excellent facilities and faculty. Musical directions
are many and varied, and the SFCC music program can give you a foundation for future

The A.A. transfer degree
A six-quarter (96 credits) program which offers a solid core curriculum that transfers
to most four-year institutions and provides training in specific performing areas.

Our music building houses a 613-seat auditorium, an electronic piano lab, and lecture
and practice rooms. A unique recording studio is available for students to learn
audio and recording techniques, as well as engineer their own demo tapes.
- Community Involvement SFCC music programs strongly support the
community. Music ensembles perform many concerts each year throughout the Spokane
area. The Community Band, Community Orchestra and Master Chorale offer a wide range
of performance opportunities for local musicans.
