French Language Instructors

Nick Rains has traveled to France a number of times to participate in speed ski competitions, but he was still a beginner when it came to speaking French. Still, Nick was clear about what he wanted from his experience in his French class.

"I want things that are practical and can be used. I think my instructors are good at exploring when something is practical, or when it is clearly a grammatical construction." He found the class "very relaxed." Nick adds, "They make it enjoyable."

He was also impressed with the commitment of the instructors. "I know when we listen in class to the French National Anthem or to French poetry, the instructors want our full attention. It’s something they believe in and enjoy showing us -- the French culture."
